Focus is given to:
The University’s machinery, equipment and infrastructure and providing protective equipment as is required
Providing information, instruction, training and supervision
Preventing pollution and employing recycling or reuse wherever is economically viable
Ensuring the safe handling of food during production, storage and delivery within the University ‘s catering facilities
The goal of an occupational safety and health program is to foster a safe and healthy occupational environment. OSH also protects all the general public who may be affected by the occupational environment
WHO DOES IT AFFECT?
University students, employees, visitors and suppliers shall take reasonable care for the health and safety of their selves and person(s) who may be affected by their acts or omissions and comply with OHS&E procedures, standards and work practices.
