The Faculty\u00a0 of Economic & Management Sciences (FoEMS) is one of the four Faculties\u00a0 at Sol Plaatje University. The Faculty\u00a0 is rooted in the university\u2019s vision and embarked on a mission to develop FoEMS as a faculty\u00a0 of choice for high-achieving students, as well as the university\u2019s mission to be committed to exemplary teaching, learning, scholarly yet creative research and effective engagement with both private sector and governmental entities. The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, the home to the Higher Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Diploma in Retail Business Management, \u00a0BCom in Accounting, BCom in Economics, Advanced Diploma in Management, \u00a0BComHons in Economics, Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship,\u00a0 Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management and Master of Public Management and Governance is a dynamic and inspiring faculty that continually aims to meet the demands of the fast-changing economic and management environment.<\/p>

We achieve this by conducting ground-breaking academic research and delivering innovative teaching in disciplines such as Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship,\u00a0 Finance, Retailing and Public Management. Our graduates are able to gain access to tailored opportunities in industry, academia, research, and community service niches. Students gain experience and exposure in local and international businesses through several agreements the faculty has with relevant stakeholders.<\/p>

The Faculty is currently composed of two departments. Our programmes are\u00a0 offered across the two departments as students are free to choose majors across them: Department of Accounting & Economics \u00a0and Department of Management Sciences.<\/p>
