The\u00a0 Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences has a Marketing, Student Recruitment and Stakeholder Engagement committee, which in addition to its three pillars, is responsible for recording the community engagement activities and projects of colleagues. Colleagues in the Faculty are encouraged to participate in community engagement activities and projects as this is one of the three pillars of being an academic (teaching, research and community engagement).<\/span><\/p>

Community Engagement was identified as a 5th strategic objective at last year\u2019s Faculty Management Team retreat and as such the Faculty is working on a community engagement strategy to help achieve this objective.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On 23 February 2023 SPU\u2019s Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences hosted a delegation from Brights Hardware: Ms Merinate Luis, Founder and HR Director, and Ms Zingapi Mbanga, Executive Manager for Human Resources, Training & Development. On 24 March 2023, SPU’s Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences welcomed a delegation from CPUT<\/a>‘s Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, including Prof Virimai Mugobo and Ms Fezeka Twalo. The meeting aimed to explore retail-focused cooperation, research collaboration, internationalisation, and reinforce the memorandum of understanding objectives between both institutions.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
