The University\u2019s men\u2019s table tennis team did not disappoint, and took third place at the USSA<\/a><\/span> Table Tennis Championship after competing against four South African universities \u2013 Free State<\/a><\/span>, KwaZulu-Natal<\/span><\/a>, Western Cape<\/span><\/a>, and Limpopo<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>

The 2021 championship was postponed to 2022 due to the Omicron virus and was held from 15 to 21 March at Sol Plaatje University (SPU)<\/a><\/span>. Busy academic and registration calendars also resulted in fewer universities participating. However, players and spectators were treated to a tournament of a high standard with standout performances from the universities of KwaZulu-Natal and Free State, who took first and second places, respectively.<\/p>

It was the second USSA table tennis tournament hosted by the University.<\/p>
