We will appeal to them to allow you to remain in their accommodation in the interim.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NSFAS <\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are students who are unfunded and for whom the University is engaging with NSFAS, and we hope to have a resolution within the next two weeks. In the meantime, the University will pay the meal allowances for those students to date, from the University resources, until there is a resolution to the matter.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>FUNZA LUSHAKA<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The complete list of students who will receive funding in 2022 from Funza Lushaka has not been finalised. There are administrative processes which need to be finalised between the Department of Basic Education and the SPU School of Education, after which allowances will be paid through to the University for disbursement to students.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A contributing factor to the delay in the payment of Funza Lushaka allowances is that while the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) has been accredited by the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.che.ac.za\/\">Council on Higher Education<\/a><\/span> (CHE), we are awaiting the letter of registration from the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saqa.org.za\/\">South African Qualifications Authority<\/a><\/span> (SAQA).\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With respect to the Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase), SAQA required an amendment to be made to the initial registration, via the CHE. This was actioned and the application was resubmitted for registration.
