{"id":32081,"date":"2022-06-26T11:05:39","date_gmt":"2022-06-26T09:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spu.ac.za\/index.php\/spu-lecturer-wins-pan-south-african-language-board-multilingualism-award-copy\/"},"modified":"2022-06-26T11:13:44","modified_gmt":"2022-06-26T09:13:44","slug":"update-residence-vacation-accomodation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spu.ac.za\/index.php\/update-residence-vacation-accomodation\/","title":{"rendered":"Update: Residence vacation accommodation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spu.ac.za\/index.php\/student-accommodation-during-vacation-periods\/\">a directive of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal dated 15 June 2022<\/a><\/span> with regards to June vacation accommodation, a committee has been established to facilitate the process of vetting requests from students who cannot go home during the June holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The committee has established categories of students who could qualify for accommodation during the June holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The categories and criteria for consideration are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students writing supplementary examinations (Provide proof of supplementary examination)<\/li>\n<li>Vulnerable students (assessed by the Wellness Office)<\/li>\n<li>Students facing financial issues (students must provide a six-month bank statement)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A motivation letter with the above-mentioned supporting documents will be required, and the last day to submit the request for accommodation is 24 June 2022 at 23h00.<\/p>\n<p>All June holiday accommodation requests should be sent to off-campus@spu.ac.za.
