{"id":3552,"date":"2018-12-27T08:04:54","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T06:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.10.4.47\/?p=3552"},"modified":"2020-09-25T20:58:54","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T18:58:54","slug":"students-get-entrepreneurship-grooming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spu.ac.za\/index.php\/students-get-entrepreneurship-grooming\/","title":{"rendered":"Students get entrepreneurship grooming"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Student Entrepreneurship Week (SEW) 2018 is a key project in the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) programme, a partnership between the Department of Higher Education and Training, and Universities South Africa (USAf).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project aims to raise student awareness of entrepreneurship as a career and a means to participate in the mainstream economy, while creating much-needed jobs.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SEW 2018, as a month-long event throughout August, was hosted at various universities and TVET colleges throughout the country.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of SPU\u2019s entrepreneurship initiatives, Senior Lecturer in the Chair for Entrepreneurship at the University of Pretoria, Prof Alex Antonites, presented a workshop.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof Antonites is also a senior lecturer at the Gordon Institute of Business.&nbsp; He started and heads the UP Business Incubator that is currently developing a number of new innovative start-ups.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Student Entrepreneurship Week (SEW) 2018 is a key project in the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) programme, a partnership between the Department of Higher Education and Training, and Universities South Africa (USAf).
