The Student Entrepreneurship Week (SEW) 2018 is a key project in the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) programme, a partnership between the Department of Higher Education and Training, and Universities South Africa (USAf).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
This project aims to raise student awareness of entrepreneurship as a career and a means to participate in the mainstream economy, while creating much-needed jobs. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
SEW 2018, as a month-long event throughout August, was hosted at various universities and TVET colleges throughout the country. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
As part of SPU\u2019s entrepreneurship initiatives, Senior Lecturer in the Chair for Entrepreneurship at the University of Pretoria, Prof Alex Antonites, presented a workshop.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Prof Antonites is also a senior lecturer at the Gordon Institute of Business. He started and heads the UP Business Incubator that is currently developing a number of new innovative start-ups.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
