This opportunity is open to postgraduate students registered for PGCE, PGDip, Honours, and Master\u2019s studies\u00a0at SPU.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This bursary aims to provide financial relief by covering <strong>tuition fees only<\/strong>, helping eligible students continue their studies without the burden of outstanding fees.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Eligibility Criteria:<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Honours\/PGDip\/PGCE<\/strong>:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>A minimum average of 65% in your undergraduate degree, completed in record time.<\/li><li>Proof of unemployment (e.g., affidavit).<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Master\u2019s<\/strong>:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>A minimum average of 65% in your Honours or Postgraduate Diploma.<\/li><li>At least 65% for your research project in the applicable qualification.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Important Information:<\/u><\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>The award is granted for one academic year and does not carry over.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>It covers <strong>tuition fees only<\/strong>\u00a0and cannot be used for outstanding fees or other expenses.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Recipients are expected to\u00a0contribute to academic activities determined by the University (6-8 hours per week depending on your programme).<\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Applications must be submitted by <strong>28 February 2025<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>How to Apply:<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spu.ac.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Postgraduate-Merit-Award-Application.pdf\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">application form<\/span><\/a> and submit it along with the required supporting documents (listed in the form) to <strong><a href=\"mailto:pga@spu.ac.za\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">pga@spu.ac.za<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For further information, contact the Research Office at <strong>053 491 0230.<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We strongly encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this funding opportunity.
