His research interests include student voice, generative artificial intelligence, and writing centre practices. He holds a PhD in Creative Writing and is the author of two books: <em>Briewe van Uys Krige vanuit Frankryk en Spanje<\/em> (2010) and <em>Vier-en-Veertig, Agtien<\/em> (2018).
