Your Health Matters
Health care services play an important role in supporting our students, and students learn about supporting themselves through counselling, and mental health services provided.
The Health and Wellness Unit situated at the SPU Central Campus allows our students to access medical care for physical issues. This assists in ensuring that our students’ basic health needs are met therefore allowing them to focus on their studies.
The counselling services through the Health and Wellness Unit registered psychologist and counsellor aim to support our student’s mental health and provide a space to discuss any personal issues impacting their university experience.
The nutrition program, provided by the Health and Wellness Unit, offers support to students experiencing challenges by providing essential meals and resources to address their nutritional needs, ensuring their well-being and academic success.
Both medical services and counselling services aim to provide students with assistance to maintain physical and good mental health, which is important for adjusting socially and emotionally to university life under new pressures and responsibilities. The services are there to support students’ wellness and development during their time at the university.
