The Faculty of Economic & Management Sciences (FoEMS) is one of the four Faculties at Sol Plaatje University. The Faculty is rooted in the university’s vision and embarked on a mission to develop FoEMS as a faculty of choice for high-achieving students, as well as the university’s mission to be committed to exemplary teaching, learning, scholarly yet creative research and effective engagement with both private sector and governmental entities. The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, the home to the Higher Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Diploma in Retail Business Management, BCom in Accounting, BCom in Economics, Advanced Diploma in Management, BComHons in Economics, Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship, Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management and Master of Public Management and Governance is a dynamic and inspiring faculty that continually aims to meet the demands of the fast-changing economic and management environment.

Our graduates are able to gain access to tailored opportunities in industry, academia, research, and community service niches. Students gain experience and exposure in local and international businesses through several agreements the faculty has with relevant stakeholders. The Faculty is currently composed of two departments.
