COUNCIL
The Sol Plaatje University Council is the ultimate governing body within the University. It acts as the custodian of corporate governance for the institution
and is therefore responsible for ensuring that all related governance functions are performed effectively.
This responsibility is consistent, too, with King IV (specifically, Principle 5 of the King IV Code on Corporate Governance). Council is, therefore, ultimately responsible for the overall achievement of the University’s mission, vision and purpose.
