Our classes are small and specialised, and our students are much more than numbers to us. Our dedicated academics are engaged in research and serve in various committees and organisations to ensure knowledge of the latest developments is shared with students and the community.
A blended teaching and assessment model ensures that students are adequately prepared for the world of work after being exposed to digital learning and assessment. Our Advanced and Postgraduate diplomas are offered on a part-time basis to accommodate working students whereby evening classes are attended over two years to complete the qualification. The revised Diploma in Retail Business Management contains a work integrated learning module whereby students are placed with employers to gain first hand practical experience which together with their solid theoretical background, makes them highly employable. The Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management as well as the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship contain a research project which prepares students to conduct research and solve problems in their environments as well as further studies such as a master’s degree. The Faculty has a strong desire to contribute to the economic development of the region and its people and do so via research projects as well as its involvement in various structures such as the Northern Cape Innovation Forum, the Provincial Research Forum, the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Rapid Incubation in Upington.
