Decade Celebrations Plan

The University will kickstart its 10th Anniversary Celebrations on 22 August 2023 by running programmes and activities for the next sixteen months ending in December 2024. It is proposed that the focus be placed on two focal areas:

1. Promoting Lesedi La Afrika Endowment Fund – The fund seeks to create perpetual access to SPU by young people from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds in the Northern Cape.
2. Sharing the history of Sol Plaatje University – SPU will share historical milestones from the past ten years through events.
