Sol Plaatje University’s (SPU’s) Dean of Student Affairs, Ms Nicole Morris, has issued a directive relating to the House Committee electoral rules and procedures for 2023. These elections target both on-campus and accredited off-campus house committees.

Among other important information, the directive outlines key dates regarding the House Committee Elections:

  • Nominations open Thursday 25 August 2022 at 09H30, and the closing date is Thursday, 1 September 2022 at 13H00.
  • Campaigning will commence on Monday, 5 September 2022 at 16H00 and close on Sunday, 18 September 2022 at 20H00.
  • House Committee Elections will take place on Tuesday, 20 September 2022 and Wednesday, 21 September 2022.
  • The results will be published on Thursday, 22 September 2022 at 20H00.
