I Love My Campus – Keeping Kimberley Clean

The Green Campus Initiative, popularly known as the GCI #ILOVEMYCAMPUS INITIATIVE, will kick start Green Week from 23 – 30 September 2022. The initiative will host a ‘Keeping Kimberley Clean’ project to clean up the Oppenheimer Gardens which is an integral part of our University and the Kimberley community.  

Staff and students are invited to join the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof Andrew Crouch, SPU GCI Ambassadors, the Student Representative Council, the Division of Student Affairs and the Sol Plaatje Municipality Mayor, Touch – Lets-Go, Tourism monitors and Media at the clean-up project.

Meeting point: Luka Jantjie house at 12:30

The SPU GCI wishes to encourage all SPU students and staff to join this long-term intervention to eradicate litter on our campuses, living, recreational and learning spaces, to create a conducive environment for learning and recreational purposes, in promoting a healthy style of learning and living.
