Lace up your trainers and join us!

To celebrate Sol Plaatje University’s upcoming birthday, the SPU Sport Office will host its second annual fun Colour Run on 20 August 2022. Celebrations will take place at the Windhoek Lager Park.

Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Andrew Crouch, will commence proceedings at 06:00 on the day of the Birthday Colour Run. The official opening will be followed by races, the unveiling of our birthday cake and prizes. There’ll be lucky draws throughout the day, too.

The run will start in Jacobus Smit Avenue, head into Scanlan then DuToitspan Road down Carrington Road and onto Oliver Road. Then, up Landbou Road, turning into Schmidtsdrift Road and down into Cronin Road. The final stretch of the 21km run goes back to Jacobus Smit Avenue, where the finish awaits.
