Launch of SPU’s SRC Thusa Moithuti Fund

The SPU Division of Student Affairs, Student Life and Development Office, and the Student Representative Council (SRC) will launch the SRC Thusa Moithuti Fund, where we will also introduce the SPU Student Nutritional Wellness Programme on 29 September 2022.

The Thusa Moithuti Fund of the SRC has been established to promote the social justice agenda of the SRC. This project will assist students who do not have funding to register or the necessary support to propel them to succeed in their studies. Inside this Fund is a unit dedicated to food security: the Student Nutritional Wellness Programme.

Ultimately, this project seeks to balance the gap created by poverty and lack of education in South African society by limiting inequality caused by social injustices. To this end, the launch also serves as a fund-raiser for the Fund.

SPU staff and students are invited to attend the launch online which will be streamed on the SPU Facebook page. Link: https://fb.me/e/24dXv4m7n
