Steps to Follow in Unlocking Your Future

Send an email to finance.enquiries@spu.ac.za indicating that you’d like to settle.

The Finance Office will verify your account and calculate the settlement offer which you will then receive an email with the discounted settlement amount.

Finance will also issue you with the Student Debt Settlement Agreement Form which will include the discounted settlement amount and payment due date.

You make payment, complete the Student Debt Settlement Form by deadline.

Finally, you submit the completed and signed form together with your proof of payment and send all documentation to finance.enquiries@spu.ac.za

Is the Debt Collection Drive a once-off initiative?

Yes. This is a once-off opportunity to settle outstanding student debt through a limited 20% discount.

What is the duration of the campaign?

The campaign runs from 1 October to 19 December 2025.

Who can participate?

All current and former students (including graduates and alumni) with outstanding balances are eligible to apply.

How do I apply?

Send an email to finance.enquiries@spu.ac.za indicating that you wish to settle your account. The Finance Office will review your account, calculate your discounted settlement amount, and send you a Student Debt Settlement Agreement outlining the amount, payment due date, and conditions.

What should I do after receiving and signing the agreement?

Make payment into the official University bank account as listed in your agreement. Then, email your proof of payment and signed agreement to finance.enquiries@spu.ac.za.

What happens after I make payment?

Once your payment has been verified, your student account will be updated, and you will gain access to your results, academic records, transcripts, and degree certificates, where applicable.

If I no longer owe the University, can I register for another academic programme?

Yes. You may register for a new programme, provided you meet all registration rules and requirements.

Can I pay the settlement amount in instalments?

No. The discounted settlement offer applies only to once-off, full payments made within the campaign period.
