Student notice: Start of academic year & late registration for returning students

Dear SPU Students

Please take note of the below changes regarding the start to the 2022 academic year and late registrations for returning students:

1. Start of the 2022 academic year

Please note that the 2022 academic year will commence on Wednesday, 23 February 2022 and not on Monday, 21 February 2022This will allow students to familiarise themselves with the academic timetable and prepare timeously to commence with academic activities. The Schools will release the School timetable before classes start.

2. Late registration for Returning Students

Please note that the last date for registrations for Returning Students has been extended to Monday, 28 February 2022. Registrations must be done online. Click here to access the registration web page.

Schools will share catch-up plans for students who register late.

Note: All students entering Sol Plaatje University must produce proof of being vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an exemption letter. See the Vice-Chancellor’s directive on COVID-19 vaccinations for detailed information.
