SPU students and staff are invited to join the 3rd annual (and first-ever virtual) SPU Student Entrepreneurship Week (SEW) 2020 taking place on 7, 14 and 15 October 2020 on MS Teams.

First launched in 2017 by the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) at South Africa’s public universities, the SEW aims to increase awareness of student entrepreneurship and to expose and support student’s entrepreneurial efforts so that entrepreneurship becomes a widespread university culture.

This year’s SEW theme is on AfroTech: African Entrepreneurship through Technology and promises to be insightful and enlightening.

Additionally, students that have a great business idea or are currently operating a business are encouraged to enter the Pop-up Pitch competition and pitch to a panel on the last day of the SEW (15 October 2020) and stand a chance to win prize money and development support for their business.

To enter, send an email to Ms Gail Motlhaudi at gail.motlhaudi@spu.ac.za by 2 October 2020 to secure your space in the Pop-Up Pitch competition.
