Dr. Gail Motlhaudi-Banda was honoured to serve as an adjudicator at the Allan Gray Makers Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition, hosted by the NCU TVET College Business Hub on 9 June 2026. The event brought together 24 talented student entrepreneurs from across the Northern Cape, who showcased their innovative business ideas before a panel of judges. As an entrepreneurship academic and practitioner, Dr. Motlhaudi-Banda contributed her expertise in evaluating the viability, innovation, and growth potential of the business concepts while providing constructive feedback to help participants refine their entrepreneurial thinking.
The competition formed part of a broader initiative to cultivate innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial ambition among young people in the Northern Cape. By providing students with a platform to pitch their ideas in a professional environment, the programme celebrated their potential as future business leaders and encouraged them to transform innovative ideas into sustainable enterprises. Dr. Motlhaudi-Banda commended the high standard of presentations and reaffirmed the importance of creating opportunities that empower young entrepreneurs with the confidence, skills, and exposure needed to contribute meaningfully to the province’s economic growth and employment creation.
