August marks a special moment in our calendar; its Women’s Month, and marks the month of our inception. We invite you to celebrate our 12th birthday by being part of the SPU Birthday Colour Run 2025, taking place on Saturday, 30 August at the SPU Sports Precinct.
What started as a campus fun run has become the Northern Cape’s top community race, with over 900 participants last year. This year, we’re going even bigger with bold colour, family-friendly vibes and a strong message of unity, health and inclusion.
The Colour Run promotes healthy, active living in a fun and inclusive way. Whether you choose to run, walk, cheer or simply show up to support, the event is open to everyone. Walking is encouraged and fully welcomed. There will also be a birthday party for children, because after all, it’s a celebration and the whole community is invited.
As a BIRTHDAY BONUS, the first 70 people to enter between 1 and 3 August will receive a free official SPU Colour Run 2025 t-shirt.
