The Centre for Global Change is a research centre within the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences which focusses on monitoring global change risks and vulnerabilities across arid landscapes for local impacts. It is a flagship programme of the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) under the Global Change Research Plan for South Africa and which is funded through the National Research Foundation’s (NRF) Global Change programme.
The Centre places emphasis on funding postgraduate students at the Honours, Masters and Post-doctoral levels through bursary support within the field of global change science research and innovation.
