Representatives from Kolomela Mine led by Mr Theodor Moeti, Specialist Social Economic Development, met with Professor Andrew Crouch, Vice-Chancellor and Principal, and members of the University management team today to take forward discussions on the establishment of a SPU Learning Centre in Postmasburg.

SPU and Kolomela began talks about this initiative in April 2023 and are eager for it to come to fruition.  Two sites in Postmasburg will be assessed next week for the location of the SPU Learning Centre which is envisaged to be a resource for the local community to access information about the University, where they can attend SPU short course offerings and for it to become a locus of online learning for participants in the Talent Pipeline Programme and for registered SPU students.
