A large proportion of the University’s students originate from the Northern Cape which is a largely rural province.

Unsurprisingly, many students require accommodation.

Moroko Hall of Residence is the largest of the SPU three on-campus residences. In 2018, it housed over 500 students.

A further 225 students were accommodated at three more residences:

  • Ra-Thaga House
  • Mhudi House
  • Tauana.

Close on 200 students were provided accommodation with private providers.

For more information regarding SPU’s residences, go to the Residence page.
