Regional awards for SPU buildings

Awards to three of the University’s buildings have added to the growing tally of accolades made to SPU for its world-class infrastructure.

The multi-award-winning Library notched up another accolade when it was awarded the SAIA Free State Award for Architecture 2019.

A neighbouring building, the Teaching Practice Building, also received the same recognition.

The Library and the Teaching Practice Building projects have been submitted for national adjudication to become eligible for an SAIA/Corobrik Award of Merit or Excellence in 2020.

SPU buildings stand out for their exceptional work in the field of architecture.

The University’s Natural Science Laboratory Building was the third building and received the SAIA Free State Regional Commendation for 2019.
