SPU is proud to announce the official launch of the Talent Pipeline Programme (TPP) social media platforms, marking the evolution of a flagship programme of the University.
Initially established to support high-achieving learners from under-resourced schools – particularly in rural areas of the Northern Cape – the TPP has steadily grown into a cornerstone of SPU’s commitment to access, equity, and academic excellence. The programme equips Grade 12 learners from schools across the province, with the tools, exposure, and academic enrichment needed to transition successfully into higher education.
As the programme’s reach and success have expanded, so too has the need to share its stories and achievements with a wider audience. The launch of dedicated TPP social media platforms provides a space to:
- Celebrate milestones and student success stories
- Document the impact of the programme in schools and communities
- Attract new partners, donors, and supporters
- Inspire future participants
The numbers speak for themselves:
- Class of 2022: 27 learners graduated, with 5 enrolling at SPU
- Class of 2023: 57 learners completed the programme, 11 joined SPU
- Class of 2024: 45 learners completed the programme, 13 registered at SPU
The new digital platforms will give life to these successes, amplifying the voices of learners and mentors while strengthening the visibility of a programme that is changing lives and enabling brighter futures.
To follow the journey, support the vision, and help us expand the programme’s reach – we encourage all staff, students, alumni and stakeholders to follow, like, and share the Talent Pipeline Programme pages on:
