In line with best practice, and as part of our quality assurance processes, all qualifications at Sol Plaatje University undergo regular programme review.

During 2019, the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) qualification was evaluated.

Following the recommendations of this review, the University has decided to significantly redesign our BCom qualification in line with 21st-century trends in knowledge production, skills acquisition and workplace demands.

Pursuant to the implementation of this process, SPU will not be enrolling new students into our BCom programme in 2020.

We will, however, be offering our renewed and re-curriculated BCom programme as from the 2021 academic year.

Students currently enrolled in the BCom programme at Sol Plaatje University will be unaffected by this course restructuring.
