The Sol Plaatje University‘s (SPU) Rugby teams impressed spectators with their dynamic performances, earning commanding victories in recent matches on Saturday, 27 April 2024. The dedication and spirit of our Gemmies was evident as the 2nd team secured a strong win against Cristiana with a score of 54-33, while the 1st team triumphed over Prieska, with an impressive 94-24.
“It’s a testament to the hard work and passion our players bring to the field. Seeing the respect from the opposition and their desire to join our ranks is incredibly rewarding,” said Mr Jacques (Ollie) Mew, Head of Rugby at SPU.
