Sol Plaatje University (SPU) invites the Kimberley community, families, staff and students to join the SPU Community Big Walk on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
This family-centred experience promotes wellness, dignity and a strong sense of belonging. For students, especially our first-years, it is a prime opportunity to integrate and connect with the broader SPU family and the city we call home.
The Big Walk is a space for connection, inclusion and collective movement, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels. While the walk is about movement, it is also about impact. Participants may choose to make an optional contribution of R20 or more towards the SPU Lesedi La Afrika Fund, supporting student success and ensuring SPU’s long-term sustainability.
Come walk side-by-side with us in support of our students and a shared brighter future for the Northern Cape.
