The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development & Research (CEDAR) hosted Prof Friedrich from Giesen University in Germany in March.
Prof Friedrich visited the institution on a DAAD-funded programme to assist with research output within the Centre.
Prof Friedrich also took part in the first CEDAR inaugural conference as a speaker and pitching competition panel judge member. During this time, he also celebrated International Women’s Day with the Economic Activation Office’s Student Women Economic Empowerment Programme (SWEEP); where he inspired 20 female students on how to be more resilient as female entrepreneurs in South Africa.
Prof Friedrich through the DAAD also made funding available for research purposes in CEDAR aimed at assisting in furthering the entrepreneurship initiatives at our institution. We thank prof Friedrich for sharing his expertise and look forward to hosting him again in September 2024.
