In celebration of Heritage Month, the School of Humanities cordially invites you to a Public Lecture titled: “Lest we forget. The story of political prisoners who died whilst serving sentences on Robben Island Maximum Security Prison. The case study of Robben Island Museum Stikland 12 Memorial.”

The lecture will be presented by our guest speaker, Ms Nolubabalo Tongo-Cetywayo, who has more than twenty years’ experience in the management of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Ms Tongo-Cetywayo’s research focus is on the Conservation of Intangible and Tangible Cultural Heritage of Robben Island Museum and her main interest is oral history and the protection and promotion of cultural heritage.
