Sol Plaatje University (SPU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Buntu Mnyaka, the Senior Manager for Student Life and Development in the Division of Student Affairs, as an additional Non-Executive Board Member of the International Conference on Public Administration and Development Alternatives (IPADA) Conference Board.
IPADA is an international academic organisation that promotes quality scholarship and academic networking throughout the South African Development Community (SADC). Its focus is on cooperative research initiatives, annual book project reviews, and yearly conferences for evaluating important scholarly work.
During his two-year term, Mr Mnyaka will work towards strengthening IPADA’s mission of producing quality scholarship through cooperative academic networking across the higher education sector in SADC. He will also promote IPADA’s work and contribute to editing book projects and scholarly evaluations.
As a board member of IPADA, Mr Mnyaka aims to contribute to SPU’s advancement in research through collaboration and engagement. This will fundamentally benefit research and praxes within Student Affairs and enhance the university’s name and profile through research collaboration and engagement.

This environment seeks to develop future leaders. Through research, we can better appreciate the role that higher education, particularly Student Affairs, plays in society’s development,” says Mr Mnyaka.
