Sol Plaatje University (SPU) will host the Standard Bank Chancellor’s Golf Day on Saturday, 5 October 2024, at the Kimberley Golf Club as part of the Sol Plaatje Memorial Weekend. This annual event raises funds for the Chancellor’s Bursary Fund, which supports the Talent Pipeline Programme (TPP), providing pre-university academic and social support to high-achieving learners from the Northern Cape.
The TPP has graduated 85 learners since 2021, with 16 currently enrolled at SPU, highlighting the crucial role the Chancellor’s Bursary Fund plays in creating educational opportunities for talented students.
We invite organisations and individuals to contribute to the success of the day by booking your four-ball and sponsoring a hole for R15,000, which includes on-course advertising opportunities. Sponsorship of prizes is also welcomed for those who may not wish to sponsor a hole.
Participants are encouraged to form teams and enjoy a day of golf, which will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the day’s top performers.
