SPU successfully hosted the Convocation Executive Committee (CONVEX) Roadshow on 7 and 8 September 2024, in Taung and Kimberley. The event aimed to engage with members of the Convocation, who are SPU alumni committed to upholding and promoting the University’s image, traditions, and overall welfare.
The roadshow provided an opportunity for CONVEX to introduce themselves to the alumni community, present their programme of action, and gather input from Convocation members. This feedback will help ensure that the programme aligns with the needs and aspirations of the Convocation. Key elements of the roadshow included a presentation on CONVEX’s strategic goals, planned activities, and a dedicated session for alumni to share their ideas and suggestions, contributing to the future direction of SPU’s alumni community.
The event marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between SPU and its Convocation, ensuring that the University’s legacy continues to grow through active alumni involvement.
