Mark your calendars, SPU students! The Campus Housing and Accommodation Unit (CAHAU) will be hosting the first annual Campus Life Festival on Saturday, 20 May 2023, at Windhoek Draught Park Stadium and Sol Plaatje University’s South Campus Precinct.
The Campus Life Festival is a CAHAU initiative where our residence students immerse themselves in different activities aimed at sparking unity, boosting community development, and celebrating the rich diversity within our on-and-off-campus residences and clusters communities.
Whether you reside on or off campus, this day is for you!
The day kicks off with an all-day sporting programme that promises to get your hearts racing and competitive spirits soaring.
The highlight of the day – the formation – is a student-led dance routine where each residence puts together a routine to showcase the unique spirit of each residence or cluster. Each group gets to charm the crowd with a dynamic dance routine that doesn’t exceed five minutes.
The following sporting codes will be played on the day:
- Football: male and female
- Netball and basketball: male and female
- Volleyball: mixed
- Tag rugby: mixed
The challenge? A high-stakes knockout competition where residences face off for ultimate glory in each sporting code.
So, get ready to make some noise, SPU! The Campus Life Festival is coming, and it’s going to be epic!
