Sol Plaatje University (SPU) will confer qualifications on more than 1,500 graduates during its 11th graduation ceremonies, reflecting continued institutional growth in teaching and learning, student success, and academic delivery.

The Class of 2025 comprises graduates across all four faculties: the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Humanities, and the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences. This cohort represents the largest graduating cohort to date for the University, and this 11th time around the academic sun also represents the first ceremony wherein the newly appointed chancellor Mr Thebe Ikalafeng will officiate.

Graduation represents the completion of formal academic programmes and the transition of students into graduates equipped with disciplinary knowledge and skills relevant to societal and economic needs.

The ceremonies will take place over two days at the SPU Great Hall, North Campus. Graduands from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences and the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, followed by the Faculty of Humanities, will graduate on Friday, 17 April 2026.
