Research Support Resources

An open digital archive of scholarly intellectual and research outputs of the Sol Plaatje University. The SPU-IR collects, preserves and distributes research material created by the SPU Research community

A National Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) portal has been developed in South Africa to provide access to a country-specific collection of ETDs and, more importantly, to coordinate, manage, monitor and support the development of ETD programmes at the various universities.

This database provides information on approximately 170 000 South African current and completed research projects including theses and dissertations.

ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier (an ORCID iD) that you own and control, and that distinguishes you from every other researcher. You can connect your iD with your professional information — affiliations, grants, publications, peer review, and more. You can use your iD to share your information with other systems, ensuring you get recognition for all your contributions, saving you time and hassle, and reducing the risk of errors.
Reference Management Tools

Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organise your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research.
